PREUF (Productivity Related Energy Utilization Factors) |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The
PREUF TOOL is a spreadsheet formatted mathematical model that incorporates
the actual energy consumed (billed) with the independent variables of
operations and / or procedures that cause your facility to consume energy
in base usage and output driven consumption. The PREUF TOOL identifies
these events and assigns to that event a value that when factored together
can track the actual historic energy consumed for at least one year
to an accuracy of 99% or better. The PREUF TOOL does not attempt to
determine the amount of energy required to produce the output product
of that facility. It is not an energy requirement plan. It is a tool
to be used to predict the amount of energy that would have been consumed
had no activities taken place to improve energy efficiency. The Productivity
Related Energy Utilization Factors model will determine the amount of
energy that would have been consumed historically had all factors causing
energy use remained constant. The resulting value of historic energy
use is compared to the actual (billed) consumption to quantify the improvement
or loss for the cycle period of evaluation.
There are several criteria to be met for confidence in the PREUF TOOL. The PREUF TOOL must have sufficient drivers with values to reflect the dynamic status of the production facility. The PREUF TOOL must track to within 99% or better of the billed energy for at least one year with no month at less than a 95% correlation to the billed energy unless there is a valid cause or reason that can be documented and confirmed by the client. |
